Physical Exercises

Back pain often expanding to legs, arms or hands, in the thoracic region is well known to most of us. The cause could sometimes be serious – trauma, tumors, a displaced disc material with cauda aquina compression symptoms. These patients need urgent surgery and only afterwards rehabilitation with restoration of functions.

However, most acute attacks of back pain subside spontaneously with a good conservative teatment. Analgetics/antireumatics with bedrest may be necessary at the beginning, however light and regular training should follow, with the aim to create a stable exercise plan.

Excessively prolonged intravenous therapy, and physiotherapeutic measures and other nonspecific measures may cause emotional exhaustion, drug dependence, very often with side effects and muscle loss. On the other hand – one should never do a hard physical training, if they feel pain.

I will try to find together with you the source and solutions to your pain as well as to schedule a long-term strategy of your physical training. I will teach you how to do physical practice according to your individual status.

You are welcome to my medical office, please feel free to book your appointment. Would you bring your radiographs or CD with CT or MRI examinations, if they have been already done.

"To wish to progress is the largest part of progress" - Seneca.

Walking is the best possible exercise. Habituate yourself to walk very far. Thomas Jefferson, 3rd president of US (1743 - 1826)

Outdoor practice is an excellent way to start the day especially if you work inside all day. Human beings are not meant to be cooped up like chickens with recycled air to breathe! Training outdoors in a pleasant environment allows one to connect to nature even if it is just to hear the birds sing, see some green trees and feel something other than concrete under foot. /Sam Moor, martial arts instructor and personnal trainer in Brighton, UK/
